We spent Easter weekend at Conception Island. This is a very beautiful and deserted island. We spent our time exploring the surrounding reefs and coastline. We also made a dinghy trip up a river into the interior of the island.
Exploring the river...
We had many visitors during our stay at Conception. Dolphins during the day and nurse sharks by night, attracted by the yellowfin tuna carcass.
Another surprise Easter Sunday morning was a little swarm of trunkfish who arrived after a few leftover pecan pancake bits went overboard.
After a relaxing weekend at Conception, we went to Long Island for a quick overnight stop and then traveled over to Georgetown. As it happened, I had a plane to catch on the 8th. I came to Tallahassee to surprise my parents. Friends/family had planned a 50th Anniversary party and I just could not miss that. Mommy/Daddy time is always a good thing. I left Craig in Georgetown, where in my absence, I am sure he is partying like a madman!! I will return on Sunday. We are also looking forward to the arrival of Craig's dad on Monday. He is coming down for a extended trip and will travel with us through the Exumas to Nassau.

Wow - pretty cool pix and video. Craig - you just need to go halibut fishing to get in "shark shape"!
