April 1 Black Pointe

Another stop along the way to GeorgeTown is Black Pointe, most reknowned for its laundrymat. The wonderclean is a great item for the most part but is not adequate for towels and sheets. We arrive in the afternoon. The anchorage is crowded so we plan an early morning laundry adventure. We arrive in the laundrymat promptly at 0900...to find that the island's generator is turned off for maintenance!! The entire island is without electricity until 1100. We hear of an adventure to the Garden of Eden. We are told this is a must see but no one will tell us what it is. Off we go....
Adderley's Friendly Store and Lorraine's Cafe. We order fresh baked bread from Lorraine's mother for pick up in the AM. She got up early to bake it before the power cut off.

This is the post office and government building. Mom: I mailed you something on April 1...can"t wait to hear when you get it!!

The Garden of Eden is a driftwood collection.
Craig thought this looked like a seahorse and hops on...
Kristie: this is for you. This big fat SeaRay is just like Kenny's!
Oh Boy!! The monster mahi!! Most of our travels have been through very shallow waters. When we take off for GeorgeTown, we cross Exuma Sound. Craig hooked this beast in 400-500 feet. He is too big for our cooler, so we decide to fillet him en route. By the time we were done, we and the cockpit are covered in blood...quite the clean up but fine living!

I want to know how you know that the Sea Ray is like Kenny's boat! Was Kenny on that boat? Will he be in the BVI's when I arrive? The ticket has been purchased!

Hugs,

Kristie
